What Are You Grateful For?

What are you grateful for today?

Over the past several years, I've incorporated a gratitude practice as a regular part of my routine. In all honesty, it's a big piece of what helped me get through the toughest moment of my life.

There's a ton of research within positive psychology and the correlation between gratitude and increased happiness.

Gratitude can improve quality of life and help people who practice it regularly:

  • feel more positive emotions

  • manage adversity and reduce stress

  • improve their health and wellness (both physical and mental)

  • cultivate better relationships

  • appreciate good experiences

Journaling resonates with me but there are so many different ways you can practice gratitude - it could be a fleeting thought you observe, a meditation, something visual that triggers it, a phrase you say out loud or to yourself, as you brush your teeth before bed or on the commute, for some people it's prayer.

Give a gift to yourself and take a moment to think about what you're grateful for today and see how those emotions show up for you. Even remembering those challenging times in your life can help your practice.

If you have questions on how to get a practice started, reach out to discuss!
